Hi. I was born in Oakland at the Oaknoll Naval Hospital and am (almost!) a lifelong resident of San Leandro. I went to San Leandro's public schools and received my BA in Anthropology from Cal State East Bay and later received a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from San José State University. I was a librarian for four years for the City of San Leandro and then spent 16 years working in San Francisco as a librarian and public historian. Today I work for an engineering firm as a writer and this career shift instigated my run for public office. I miss working with people on issues that they care about.

One of the things I care most about is my "outside" time with family and friends. Being in the open air and exploring nature is critical for everyone and we are blessed to have such a wonderful regional park system. I am concerned about the challenges the EBRPD is facing and am eager to help develop a plan that will improve the parks' climate resiliency, drive meaningful community engagement, and strengthen the parks financial stability for maintenance, land acquisition, and to provide healthy outdoor spaces for future generations.
